Farm Tours
From Easter until harvest, we offer prearranged tours of the farm to school groups or groups of adults. We are accredited by the Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS) to host school groups. Tours for up to 30 people involve a ride around the farm, seated on a purpose-built trailer, with frequent stops for explanation from the farmer.
The whole tour typically takes about two hours, but we can be flexible, according to your needs. Visitors can see the crops growing in the fields or being harvested, handle the grains and see examples of the end products.
Part of the farm is in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, which provides hedges, field margins and other features which aim to enhance the environment and encourage wildlife. We also have a herd of Aberdeen Angus beef cattle and calves, which are a popular part of the tour; donkeys; horses and pigs.
We can provide basic refreshments (small extra charge), or groups are welcome to bring their own.
Tours are currently based at Bradford’s Farm.
Toilet and hand washing facilities are available, as is car / coach parking space.
